A single whiteboard photo has set fans into detective mode as they try to piece together details about Tyla’s upcoming album, A-Pop.
While many artists slow down after winning a Grammy, Tyla appears to be doing the opposite.
During the week of the Grammy Awards, Tyla confirmed backstage that her second studio album, A-Pop, is on the way. The announcement came after she won Best African Music Performance for her song Push 2 Start—her second straight win in that category, making her the first artist to achieve that feat. She also revealed plans for a tour.
Soon after, she shared a snapshot of a studio whiteboard filled with song titles. Fans quickly labeled it the album’s “official” tracklist, though it appears to be nothing more than a working studio draft rather than a finalized list.
Tyla’s ascent has been rapid. Her 2023 breakout single Water transformed her from a rising South African talent into an international sensation. Blending amapiano rhythms with pop appeal—and boosted by a viral TikTok dance—the track dominated charts and awards discussions worldwide.

Her debut project, TYLA +, introduced global audiences to songs like “Water,” “Jump,” and “ART.” The rollout unfolded quickly, driven by overwhelming international demand and a packed promotional schedule.
Speaking at the Grammys, Tyla reflected on her artistic growth. Now 24, she described feeling more grounded and confident in her identity. She characterized A-Pop as both evolved and refreshing—a body of work that represents who she is today, rather than the artist navigating the whirlwind of her breakout year.
The studio whiteboard image revealed what appears to be a tentative list of 20 tracks. Although her team has not confirmed these titles, fans have identified the following:
I DON’T BITE
FREAK MY DESIRE
KRYPTONITE
I’M NOT HER
DOUBLE BLIND
IS IT LOVE
FEEL SOMETHING
SELFISH
WHO’S THAT GIRL
LIGHT UP THE ROOM
DISCO
HOT TUBS
SOMEWAY
RIGHT NOW
SET THE MOOD
TEMPTED
KISS
MR. NONCHALANT
DID IT AGAIN
CHANEL
Her October 2025 single Chanel is widely expected to serve as the project’s lead single.
After her Grammy win, Tyla also previewed a mystery track on Instagram. Fans speculate it could be “DID IT AGAIN,” though nothing has been officially confirmed. Additionally, a previously teased snippet titled “Deep Down” continues to generate anticipation among listeners.
For now, the whiteboard should be seen as a glimpse into the creative process rather than a finalized lineup.
In recording studios, whiteboards are fluid planning tools. Song titles can change, tracks can be scrapped, and sequencing often shifts well into the production phase. Sometimes, songs are even renamed shortly before mastering.
Labeling the circulating list as “final” overlooks how albums typically evolve—especially when an artist is transitioning into a new era.
Still, the titles offer clues about the project’s direction. Names like “I’M NOT HER,” “SELFISH,” and “WHO’S THAT GIRL” hint at themes of self-assurance, individuality, and identity. These ideas align with Tyla’s recent comments about stepping into a more confident version of herself.
Rather than a table of contents, the whiteboard feels like an open window into her creative journey.

Backstage at the Grammys, Tyla confirmed that A-Pop is slated for release in summer 2026—likely between June and August—with a tour expected afterward.
At present, the album exists in two forms: an officially announced title and release timeframe, and an unofficial list of possible tracks that may or may not survive the final cut.
Her Grammy win closed one chapter of her career. With A-Pop, the next chapter is already taking shape.
